Of course: https://github.com/b-jesch/skin.estuary.modv2/blob/4e23a4f04d64b6f6e0747c39ce716b428b0a9a12/xml/Includes.xml#L49-L50. For this year the christmas time has ended on 26.12.

RE: Estuary MOD V2 Matrix/Nexus/Omega KN Edition - andresrgv - 2024-12-29

can I re-activate the Christmas theme?

RE: Estuary MOD V2 Matrix/Nexus/Omega KN Edition - _BJ1 - 2024-12-29

Open xml/Includes.xml (see link above) and edit line 50. Set the end date (12-27) to 12-31 or whatever you want.

My brain started braining by seeing the link you posted it and I did it, and yes, I feel like a hacker right now (LOL).  Thanks for the explanation anyway. Hope you have a happy new year.

Happy New Year!

I'm wondering if you changed the overlay for the info view recently, or if I screwed something up (although I didn't make any changes, so not sure how it would have happened)...

When I pull up the info view with no media playing, the diffuse overlay is a shade of the main interface color (in this case teal), which is normal, as it always has been and as I expect:

Image

However, now when I pull up the info screen while any media is playing, the screen is completely different, the layout is not the same anymore, and (more problematic), it now has a white diffuse overlay, which makes it very difficult to read the text, synopsis, etc:

Image

Even the "X" button middle left is no longer skinned the teal color that the other info screen has.

Is this a bug, or a setting that I can revert?  It seems to only have started doing this a couple of days ago.  I would much prefer of the info screen while media is playing is exactly the same as it is when media is not playing.

If there is any kind of option here, I would prefer both screens to have the layout of the "white" one, where the actor/character names are overlaid on the images (to me this is more useful than having to scroll each actor image to have the name show up somewhere else on the screen one at a time), and the media poster is slightly larger, with the clearlogo located higher up on the right.  But obviously with the darker diffuse overlay that matches the main theme of the skin to allow the text to be read easily.

Many thanks!
TRJB

These are two different views. The one above is the Video Info Dialog, the second below is the Video Fullscreen Info Dialog. The behavior of the white video overlay and wrong colors has already been reverted to the old look, is already on Github and will uploaded shortly to the Repo.

Super, thank you very much.  Also for the fix on the "page-at-a-time" scrolling issue.  Very much appreciated!

Cheers

I'm running the latest version of the skin and I'm having an issue with the video no longer playing in the background if I bring up the full menu for browsing the rest of kodi while watching a video. When I dismiss the window, the video briefly stutters/speeds to catch back up to the audio.

I just noticed this behavior today for the first time. So I'm not sure if it was introduced with the latest fix.

RE: Estuary MOD V2 Matrix/Nexus/Omega KN Edition - _BJ1 - 2025-01-05

If a video is playing and there is no active video window, the videobuffer runs into overflow and video begins stuttering. As a result, the video window remains active and is moved outside the screen when "show video in background" is disabled. This has the effect that the video is "invisible" and no buffer overflow remains. The code for this was introduced a long time before and has not been changed.

https://github.com/b-jesch/skin.estuary.modv2/blob/2b62c49b471d8374d8fcf92489f196d0c16067cf/xml/Includes.xml#L2684-L2688

The animation slides the video window outside the screen when "show video in background" is disabled.

Btw. running here without issues on Omega and Windows 10 and on latest CoreElec on a Tanix TX3. But sometimes behaves Kodi like Windows. A restart of kodi solves some issues sometime Wink .

You could upload a full debug log, I'll take a look at it.

Well, I feel like an impatient dummy.  Yeah, just rebooting everything got it back to normal.  I'm usually the first to think "have you tried turning it off and on again?", but I am just so used to just leaving Kodi on perpetually.  Thank  you for looking into it, though.  And thanks for the constant great work on the skin.

RE: Estuary MOD V2 Matrix/Nexus/Omega KN Edition - oliviergregoire - 2025-01-10

Would it be possible to add the sizes of the files in the informations at the bottom of the screen?

RE: Estuary MOD V2 Matrix/Nexus/Omega KN Edition - _BJ1 - 2025-01-10

As filesizes are not stored into the video/audio library, it's not possible - except items are displayed in file mode (Videos -> Files or System -> File manager). Also see here: https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/issues/19938#issuecomment-2542034267

I think I found an inconsistency regarding channel icon backgrounds.
If 'use background for pvr channel icons' is disabled, it will still show a background for icons in a couple of screens.

Channel screen:
Left pane, channels show no background.
Right pane: channel icon shows a background

Recordings screen:
Recordings show a background in the right pane where either a channel icon, or episode screenshot resides.

Hello, I am reinstalling KODi and would like to transfer the settings from the skin. It is not enough to simply take the skin.estuary.modv2 settings file from userdata - addon_data. Which folder or xml file contains all the build settings? That would save me a lot of work.  Thanks a lot Shy
