RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - moshoodo123 - 2017-01-08 @FXB78, thanks for all your help bro, I will forget about description for now as its not important. I really appreciate what you guys do here. Weird thing is that once or twice on both operating systems TV Guide Fullscreen would appear correctly using guide.xml without a crash but not easy to repeat a successful access of TV Guide Fullscreen after crash occurrence. (Hmm I wonder if a reboot of Win10 or macOS machines would make a difference ?) I have edited and included macOS logs (without debug) in http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=303430&pid=2495474#pid2495474 to keep information together in "Windows" sub forum thread for now. It was easy to do with just sendclick commands. With a mouse, the only problem is you need something like the middle mouse button mapped to bring up the osd. Otherwise you can do last channel, now channel, up, down, left, right, quick epg, and back to main. I can't find a way to add a button for "enter" to select a channel and play in osd channel browsing. Besides initially bringing up the osd, mouse scrolling in quick epg will return to menu with quick epg still active, and i cant use sendclick commands for numbers bringing up things like search. Adding mouse buttons to the timebar in quickepg also didn't work\i ran out of coffee. Is it possible to do the "invisible" buttons in fullscreen video playback mode? If so, perhaps throw an invisible osd button in the bottom right, and back to main epg screen in bottom left. I assume the kodi osd would override them though. example of sendclick OSD Mouse controls Last Channel: <onclick>info</onclick> <onclick>left</onclick> Heres my skin if anyone wants to bugger around with it (a few "extra" buttons are custom and won't do anything, but are harmless). For it to look like i intend choose the background.png inside the skin dir as your background. Skin_test.zip http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=40765465885153781442 It looks like this (they are circled) As it's an easy add, how about longer file grab durations? Theres 12h, 24h and 48h i believe, how about 2 weeks worth of intervals? I had been using zap2it with webgrab and 300 channels was taking about 12 hours to grab 7 days. I migrated my lineup to custom grabbed yo.tv providers and i can now do 14 days worth of listings in 2 hours for the same 300 channels . My suggestion would be that you use the Quick EPG & have the i key mapped to show/hide info. Pressing i in Quick EPG currently does nothing. To access Quick EPG you press Down, then Back to exit, so adding info into it wouldn't be disruptive I don't think. Could someone make a video or a few screenshots of a Murdoch box with this functionality. If the behaviour is different than the OSD or QuickEPG modes it might be better to add a new Murdoch Mode into gui.py. As long as your channel logos match the name of the channel you should be able to find them. I had a couple that match in my logos folder like QVC.png and ESPN.png. If you want program images with zap2xml you have to enable them with -I Code: -I = include program icons (image URLs) - 1 extra http request per program! There is something wrong with zap2xml though. It contains invalid utf8 characters. You can see this if you open the xmltv file in Notepad++ and try to save it. It will show you the errors. eg Between news and affairs: Code: <programme start="20170109163000 +0100" stop="20170109170000 +0100" channel="I92401.labs.zap2it.com"> RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - primaeval - 2017-01-08 (2017-01-08, 08:50)myname Wrote: I added mouse navigation to the osd. To see them hold a candle up to the screen and wait for the lemon juice to turn visible, or change the texturenofocus to: Code: <texturenofocus>background-cover.png</texturenofocus> If you are in TV Mode click on the bottom of the screen to pull up the OSD or top right to go Back. If your are in OSD Mode click anywhere on the bottom section and it should play the channel selected. There are some nav buttons on the right now. @myname Great idea about the <onclick> value. You can do a lot with that without messing around in gui.py. RE: TV Guide Fullscreen - possibly the most powerful TV Guide in the world. ;) - Cangeoboy - 2017-01-08 Have a few logos that aren't recognized from my xml output because of unusual characters (&/ etc.). I was just going into the channel menu of the guide and using the logo button to link the channel to the logo location manually which worked great. After the last update it seems this no longer works. I can go in, locate and choose the location of the logo, the logo shows up properly, I then hit the save button but then I can't exit the channel menu. If I do get back to the Kodi menu, and try to use the guide it just crashes Kodi completely. Any others getting this happening as well? Make sure all the channel names are escaped properly in the xml file. If you have a channel like "A & E" it needs to be "A & E". It is safer just to make them all ascii if possible. Google "xml escape chars" to find out more. There could still be a problem in the code with handling non-ascii characters. It is a never ending battle to deal with character encodings.
