As for the version of Amber that does not require it, I will first upload to GitHub so users can test it for a bit and see that it does not cause any issues. If all goes well, the following week I will upload to the Amber repo. I am planning right now to upload to the Kodi repo a new version by the third week of March. Regards, Bart RE: Amber for Leia/Matrix - Cyberdom - 2020-03-02 Thank you for your answer @bsoriano. Will this new version of Amber that does not require embuary helper or tmdb helper be a simple update or will it be necessary to do a complete reinstallation of Amber ? Another question, will we have the same functionality with this new version as with the current version ? RE: Amber for Leia/Matrix - bsoriano - 2020-03-02 (2020-03-02, 11:12)Cyberdom Wrote: Thank you for your answer @bsoriano. @Cyberdom, it will be a simple update. The functionality will not be the same, if you do not have embuary helper and tmdb helper. All the searches will be local in the video info dialog, no online tmdb search for director, writer, genre or studio. Also, you will not be able to jump directly to a season or tv show from the video info dialog of an episode. Some of the custom lists in the video info dialog will not be available, and others will only show local info. Finally, none of the shelves from embuary helper or tmdb helper will be available. Regards, Bart RE: Amber for Leia/Matrix - Cyberdom - 2020-03-02 Thank you for the details @bsoriano. I think it would be a substantial re-write to add that bottom customizable extra row. I will not be taking that on, sorry. @bsoriano Thank you for your answer. I think and give you any ideas for the one and only skin. I´m clueless about how much is the work for this. Is it possible to let the Artist Slideshow change the background in the music view? i find it great, if you add the logo in the list viewe to. In the media views, the list is so small and it is heavy to find something in 5 rows.... regards Grinario RE: Amber for Leia/Matrix - treboR2Robert - 2020-03-06 (2020-03-01, 23:45)bsoriano Wrote: @treboR2Robert , the skin, as it is now in GitHub, requires plugin.video.themoviedb.helper version 2.2.15 or higher. I hadn't seen where you had mentioned the git for @jurialmunkey. Sorry. I should have worked it out myself anyway really, i was almost there. How's the progress on a version that doesn't require embuary or tmdb helper ? Looking forward to trying it out. Thanks for doing it by the way, it is much appreciated ! RE: Amber for Leia/Matrix - bsoriano - 2020-03-09 Hello all, First of all, my apologies for the delay in new releases. Real life has a way of occupying all of your time I have pushed to Git version 3.2.46. Highlights for this version: 1. Completed work on showing audio and subtitle info in all media views. This affected the layout for all views, so please test thoroughly and let me know of any issues, cut off text, and so on. -- A by product of this work is that I revisited when the info panel needs to be shown in list views. It will be shown if the items have duration, plot, genre, year or any other information that merits the info plot. I tested with many types of addons, but please test and let me know if there is any case where you think it should be shown and it isn't, or vice versa. Thanks. 2. Made the info panel in list views optional. You can now find a new setting in Settings, Amber Settings, Media Views: Diable Info Panel in List Views. 3. Made plugin.video.themoviedb.helper and script.embuary.helper optional. They are no longer a dependency for the skin. -- This means that, if you do not have these two addons in your system, the skin will have reduced functionality: --- You will not be able to do any online searches for information in the video info dialog (so no online searches for cast, director, writer, genre or studio) --- You will not be able to jump directly to the season or tv show from the video info dialog for an episode --- You will not be able to configure any of the shelves for these addons (this includes the people shelves from tmdb helper) -- If you do have tmdb helper, you need the latest version. Please get that from jurialmunkey's GitHub or his repo. -- The online search functionality in video info requires both embuary helper and tmdb helper. 4. I am phasing out support for script.tv.show.next.aired in Amber. Both script.embuary.info and plugin.video.themoviedb.helper offer similar functionality and are being actively maintained. -- This means that the "TV Guide" submenu item for the "TV Shows" menu item now will show a custom next aired window using tmdb helper info. If you do not have tmdb helper installed, it will show a custom next aired window using embuary info. If you do not have that installed, it will try to show the next aired info from script.tv.show.next.aired. -- You can see for yourself which of the two options you like best by changing the action for the TV Guide submenu item. If you select "ActivateWindow(1136)" it will show the tmdb helper info. This provides 14 days of next aired. If you select "ActivateWindow(1137)", it will show the embuary info next aired. This provides 7 days of next aired. You can select either of this by choosing "Custom" from the available options when you configure the submenu action. -- If you change the action and want to go back to the default, write "tv_guide" as the action (without the ""). Please test and let me know which do you prefer (the layouts are almost exactly the same), so that I can make that the default for the "Next Aired" shelf in "Default Shelves", "Episodes". 5. The layout of the PVR Guide has changed slightly, now in each highlighted programme in the guide the start and end times are shown (thanks @Dumyat !). 6. I have made the channel groups shown in the PVR Guide optional. If you go to the sideblade, you will find a new option "Hide Channel Groups". 7. I have added clearlogo to the Home window and to the appropriate (that have the space for it) media views. List and Low List views are now showing clearlogo. Please note that music albums show the artist clearlogo if available. 8. I have added support for character posters in the video info dialog and some list views: List, Low List and Tall List. Please note that you need to have the extra posters loaded into your video db as poster1, poster2, etc. The skin will show up to 20. Again, this release has touched all media views, so please test comprehensively and let me know of any issues. This is the version that I will be uploading to the Amber repo and the Kodi repo at the end of the week, with fixes to any issues you report from today until Thursday, March 12th, 2020. Thank you. Regards, Bart RE: Amber for Leia/Matrix - treboR2Robert - 2020-03-09 @bsoriano Sounds awesome You have been working very hard by the sound of it !!! I will try it out tonight. Thank you for doing this !!! What I mean is that right now I have the TV Show next aired as a widget that *only* shows TV shows airing "Today". This is how I prefer it. I was referring to the window that opens when you select the TV Guide submenu item from the TV Shows main menu. Amber now has three options for that window: a skinned dialog from TV.show.next.aired, a custom window using Embuary info, and a custom window using TMDb Helper. The default in this new version is the tmdb helper custom window, if you have that addon installed. I want users to test (you can test the Next Aired widget for both tmdb helper and Embuary info, just look for the shelf Embuary Info Shelves, Episodes, Next Aired: Today, or the shelf Tmdb Helper Shelves, Episodes, Next Aired: Today). They basically look the same as the default one, except that the poster shown is always the TV show poster and not the season poster. I will definitely test the skin out tomorrow when I get in from work. Regards, Shedrock RE: Amber for Leia/Matrix - G0mez - 2020-03-11 Updated amber and noticed that subtitles list on player is bugging. Can only enable/disable subtitles but can't load subtitles RE: Amber for Leia/Matrix - bsoriano - 2020-03-11 (2020-03-11, 01:02)G0mez Wrote: Updated amber and noticed that subtitles list on player is bugging. Can only enable/disable subtitles but can't load subtitles@G0mez , do you mean that you do not see the option to browse for subtitles? Please enable the option "Subtitle Button Opens Subtitle Settings In Video OSD" in Settings, Amber Settings, General. When you do, the subtitle button will open the subtitle settings window which has the option to browse for subtitles instead of the popup that does not have that option. Thanks. Regards, Bart RE: Amber for Leia/Matrix - G0mez - 2020-03-12 I mean can't browse popup window where would be those options load or set timing but can't browse that list. Window mode works fine. |
