Is this the expected behavior?

Yes, expected. The "Kodi" rating contains the rating stored in the database (and if you set a userrating it will override the database rating). I use a generic Kodi icon because it's difficult for the skin to differentiate the rating type from the database outside of the info dialog.

All the other ratings are retrieved online via TMDb/Trakt/OMDb/MDbList APIs (which API used depends on the specific rating and what API keys you've entered in TMDbHelper).

In French, the information line protrudes a lot from the image/trailer, particularly because of the time format.

I would like to modify the format to make it more consistent with French-speaking standards, and reduce the length of this line. So that everyone can benefit from it.
2 heures 7 minutes -> 2:07 or 2h07 or 2 h 7 min

How can we do ?

The strings are here:
https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arctic.fuse/blob/1d5c13d188231d97336bea5e49c3e497ebad9410/language/resource.language.fr_fr/strings.po#L361-L367

But I can update this now. Which of "2 h 7 min" or "2 hr 7 min" would be more correct in French?

Awesome ! The most correct would be "2 h 7 min". Thanks !

Translations are missing. If I want to continue with the translation, do I need to download the text file, complete it, and then send it to you?

Is it possible to show the actual time when a video will finish if you continue plying it? Time left is shown (e.g. 21 minutes 14 seconds), but is it possible to show the actual time it will finish (say 22.30) if you get my drift? No worries if not, just wondering if I've overlooked a setting?

For infoline?
Skin Settings > Details > Optional details (switch to "Ends at Time")

Thank you!

RE: Arctic Fuse - vella9 - 2024-03-06

Can someone let me know if we have the option to remove/disable the keyboard in the Search Page as per image https://imgur.com/a/vArXRT9 please.

Also, can we hide the mode option so that it will always perform the Search function?

Thanks!

Very interesting to know. It would be relevant to have this information somewhere in the Skin interface/settings.

This is not a simple change to make. Believe me, I have considered this type of design many many many times over.

The keymap is a fair suggestion, but I'd still prefer to browse with verbose plot descriptions at a glance rather than having to key up the info panel on every single media item I scroll over.

Verbose plot descriptions was a really simple change. I figured it out without any guidance or prior experience with editing skins.

For anyone who likes to read plots at a glance (and hates scrolling textboxes), here's how you get four full lines of plot description:

0. disable ratings in the skin settings
1. in font.xml, on line 163, change font_main_plot to "<size>24</size>"
2a. in Includes_Info.xml, on line 1780, change to "<top>0</top>"
2b. in Includes_Info.xml, on line 1800, change to "<bottom>-50</bottom>"

Thanks. I love this change. Being able to read more of the plot is awesome.

Thanks for the clarification. And regarding "the other ratings dependant of the API Keys" which is the frequency of their background updates?

Nice, it actually looks more refined. But then the notes don't appear either when you display the information sheet? Making them appear in the information sheet would be the best compromise.

You can remove view line icons in
Skin Settings > Furniture > Viewline Icons

You cannot remove the Header.

24 hrs cache expiry for ratings from Trakt, TMDb, and MDbList

14 days cache expiry for ratings from OMDb -- mostly to avoid hitting it too often, but I'm not certain how frequently it updates its ratings anyway. I'm finding MDbList is generally a more complete source for ratings like rottentomatoes and metacritic anyway.

There is no game shourtcut avaliable in customise widgets section. Only for video addons, images and music. I tried to manually add plugin://plugin.program.moonlight-qt-0.4.2 but it doesnt work. Ive tired also using "library://games/" but that doesnt work either. When I browse my addons and then go to games and games providers I can see moonlight addon and I can open it from there but its like 20 clicks away Tongue Is there any way to add manually shortcut to main menu to have addon starts from there?? Thanks

If you long press on the folder you want to add from inside a library window, then you should see a little plus icon on the side of the contextmenu with the label "menu". That will allow you to add the folder directly to the menu.
Thank you for this great skin. However I've run into exactly the same problem (wanting to integrate the "moonlight"-game addon) and I'm not sure I understand your instructions. Could you elaborate it a bit more? Oh - and I don't have a mouse on my kodi-system, can I still do a long press?

A second thing: I found a small "bug" while setting up my widgets. I can't add a widget to display "In progress episodes" without having at least one episode that is actually in progress. That was a bit confusing at first, because when I tried to add such a widget it just fails without any notification. Took my some time to come up with the idea that watching a random episode for some minutes might be the answer.

RE: Arctic Fuse - CouchGuy - 2024-03-07

Is anyone having focus issue with the last two update? When you click on the side menu the focus will move up or down. Also the Hub with classic layout or widget only will look like this...

EDIT: 'Hide widget initialization behind splash' doesn't work anymore.

RE: Arctic Fuse - drjackel - 2024-03-07

Thanks a lot!
Is it possible to remove the user information on the bottom?
In my case Master user Kodi (Libreelec)?

Thank you
