RE: CinemaVision: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - MaKin - 2017-01-31 Yep, as I said, when manually doing the rpc, it works. RE: CinemaVision: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - KrispyKreme - 2017-02-03 Is there a way trailers can be put in different genre folders within the trailer folder so whatever the genre or genres the movie is, it will pick up the correct one in the sequences? I download a lot of my own trailers from different sites and I use the iTunes scraper too but every once in a while I have a random trailer from apple that not appropriate for the movie thats about to show. Case in point, I had a kids move night I was hosting and I ran my sequence as usual with apple iTunes trailers and a very inappropriate trailer was picked for some reason lol. Needless to say, next time I'll be more careful plus I had to stop it which took everyone out of the experience. I rather just have my trailers I download anyway because I have more control. Is this feature that can be added in the immediate future update for those of us who do this? Anyways, love the add-on and will continue to support it. RE: CinemaVision: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - MidnightWatcher - 2017-02-03 Let's simplify it. Simply put 3 or 4 trailers you want to see in one Trailers folder only. Before movie night, use your smartphone to quickly and easily delete old trailers and put new ones you've downloaded in the Trailers folder. All you need to do is use an app like Ghost Commander and connect to your KODI Samba share or media server where the Trailers folder is located. Voila. Appreciate the idea, you also suggested a similar solution in post #1282, but I honestly have to say that this misses my, KrispyKreme's and possibly many other users' needs completely. The reason why I want something like Cinemavision is I'd like to : - have things done automatically - get surprised by the choice of trailers, but have a certain, limited influence though - only see trailers I haven't seen before If I'd like to do things manually, I'd create a playlist with clips, trailers and the movie before movie night. Very easy to do as well, but not a real alternative. Can I get you to post a full debug log including you testing the action? Is this feature that can be added in the immediate future update for those of us who do this? Anyways, love the add-on and will continue to support it. While the idea is sound, in the next major release we're looking at a bunch of features to make things easier on folks, so I'm leaning away from different genre directories and more towards a back-end database that adds that data to trailers found in the %CVROOT%\Trailers directory. That would also fall in line with the standard we use for streamed trailers right now, which should make things easier across the board. You'd then be able to easily choose what criteria to use in each Trailers Module, kind of like what we'll be doing for creating custom Sequences based on data like genre, studio, etc. Our developer has also mentioned a full-on trailer management interface that would allow you to pick and choose specific trailers for your Sequence, but I'm not sure if that will be easy to add. RE: CinemaVision: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - billroden - 2017-02-05 Ragnarok I figured out my trivia slides issue. I had a 'trivia' folder with nothing in it and a 'trivia slides' folder with all my content. Apparently CV was using the first trivia folder it found and used that. I deleted the empty folder and it everything worked like a peach. Thanks for your help Bill Sent from my SM-G930V RE: CinemaVision: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - leejk - 2017-02-05 (2017-02-04, 16:37)Ragnarok Wrote: While the idea is sound, in the next major release we're looking at a bunch of features to make things easier on folks, so I'm leaning away from different genre directories and more towards a back-end database that adds that data to trailers found in the %CVROOT%\Trailers directory. Will we be able to specify language and actual movie trailers vs music videos or random clips? I get a lot of those from the iTunes trailer source. Also would like to see the random option for trailers to randomly pick trailers from all sources; it seems to now only play them from iTunes. Thx RE: CinemaVision: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - Skank - 2017-02-26 Reinstalled this addon, when trying to play movie with cinemavision it says, theres no item queued. We'll make a note of that and investigate how best to handle that situation if it comes up. We're going to improve the random selection for trailers so that it better includes all possible sources, that's for sure. Right now, it picks more from your scraper priority than the rest. We're not sure yet if you'll be able to specify language, because in most cases that isn't something that Apple and other sources tell us. We should know more soon. If you're using Estuary and trying to launch Cinema Mode from a widget item, that issue is fixed with the Estuary updates included in Kodi 17.1 and newer. Sorry, I wasn't notified of a reply to the thread. The log doesn't actually show a CinemaVision error. Is debug logging enabled both in Kodi and in the add-on settings? RE: CinemaVision: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - aptalca - 2017-03-07 Hi Scott, I noticed that when I have trivia on with music playing, the lyrics show up on top of the trivia slides (likely due to the titan skin launching music in full screen). Any way to prevent lyrics from launching when cv is active? Thanks RE: CinemaVision: Create a Movie Theater Experience at Home - nick w - 2017-03-09 Hi I dabbled with CV about 6m ago. With a spare hour tonight i want to re-vist CV and get it fully set up. Running LibreElec, latest millhouse build Kodi 18 Running on Pi3 I uninstalled CV and its launcher and also deleted the addon-data from the users directory I then installed from the kodi repository to ensure i start from scratch on the latest build When i launch CV for the first time, i am informed its in Demo mode, i then drop to CV settings and point it to a directory which allows it to populate correctly. I think fill it with a few trivia pages and video bumpers. I then restarted the pi. When i re-launched CV it was still running in Demo mode even though a directory had been set and was still set in the settings ![]() Also when i launch a film and try and play it in CV, i get the following screen which prevent me from playing anything. It also seems to be out of screen ratio ![]() Here is my log: http://pastebin.com/pPkVdbmq Is anyone able to help? Thanks Nick |
