Yes please. If could make me like a 2 minute clip and put it here:

that would be great. Thanks.

Good news everyone,

TheImmortal has compiled the client for xbian, both a frodo and gotham version. These new builds are up on the download page.

Miker25, please let the people on the openelec forum know.

Thanks Immortal!!

Once in a while I see a PVR Deleting Show Name in the status box at the bottom of the screen. I might not have the exact message but it does say it is deleting n episode. Yet when I check no episodes appear to be deleted. Is it possible this is a temporary file created by WMC during record? Because it appears that is whn I see the message after a record.

I see these too. I know its not reporting temporary file deletion, that happens without xbmc knowing anything about it and no temp files are made for recording anyway. My guess is it is reporting the deletion of a timer from the database, once it is in the past. These timers have the same names as the shows they are recording, why xbmc labels them a 'recording' in the message I don't know.

I think what's happening there is as the EPG database is updated the timers are removed and added back as database get the updated info.

Is there a version for openelec/xbmc frodo on the raspberry pi? I did not see wmc in the list and didnt see one on the googledrive page.

I have been using this on my test machine which ids windows 7 and other than slow channel changing, it has been rock solid

So as long as actual recordings aren't being deleted I guess that is cool.

I do really like the information that is provided in that status box. It gives you a better feel for what is going on with wmc.

Try the new xbian build, just posted today. I am told it should work in openelec, be the first to try and let us know.

Yeah, its worth mentioning that xbmc has no ability to delete recordings, unless you manually choose to delete them from the recording view. Only the wmc service can delete them without user intervention.

2) You can map the keys to be whatever you want. If I recall right the default mapping for the keys you mention is channel control for live tv.

I guess I didn't really word this correctly. The mappings are not doing what they say they are supposed to do. Mapping them to a different key (or mapping a different key to my remote) is one thing, but I cannot get xbmc to do the correct action. The 'Step forward 30 seconds' is by default a period. When I press a period it does not skip forward at all, instead nothing happens.

New user, also looking for the same as Doomsday. Tried today's Xbian build for openelec/xbmc frodo on the raspberry pi, no joy, unless I'm doing something wrong. Have been using WMC on my non- elec boxes without issue, works great nice work. looking forward to getting this going on the Elec Frodo Pi.

RE: WMC as the backend - released - whiskytango - 2013-11-08

Scratch that, finally showed up after a second reboot on Elec-Pi, took it a while. We'll give it a spin and report back, nice work Smile

I didn't have permissions to upload to the google drive in your link (or I was doing something wrong!), so I put a 2 minute clip here:

Where is the WMC addon directory? Shouldn't I see it under addons?

So jealous....I just need bug 14622 fixing and I can be using this everywhere. I know that it's nothing to do with anyone here, just voicing my frustration Big Grin
