RE: Kore - Kodi/XBMC remote for Android under Linux - venik212 - 2015-06-25 I tried Kore (and Yatse) with kodi runnning under Windows 8.1 and both worked perfectly-- I love it. However, I usually run kodi under linux (Lubuntu or Mint/cinnamon), and there it fails. Both kore and yatse discover kodi, but fail to connect, so I cannot really add a host and use the app. I tried automatic and manual installations, but both failed. What am I doing wrong? I specified the mac address and port I got from the system info. I have avahi installed. Re: Kore - Kodi/XBMC remote for Android - nickr - 2015-06-25 Works fine here. Yatse has a FAQ with details of how to get a log. RE: Kore - Kodi/XBMC remote for Android - venik212 - 2015-06-28 I discovered that Kore and Yatse both had failed to connect because I had a firewall running under Linux. Neither Kore nor Yatse appear in the Preconfigured firewall rules, so I have to add my own rules for these two apps. Any advice? RE: Kore - Kodi/XBMC remote for Android - nickr - 2015-06-28 Yes, add the rules. RE: Kore - Kodi/XBMC remote for Android - wayneg - 2015-06-29 I have recently started using Kore on my android phone in place of a Widows Remote. I am very pleased with the ease of use apart from one thing I cant do. . On Kore there is a toggle full screen function, I am looking for Zoom / full screen. Whilst watching Movies filmed in wide screen I want to get rid of the blanks at the top and bottom of the screen. Using the windows remote I hit the Z button to toggle through screen sizes, Is there a way to do that with Kore, am I missing something? And, if so, does refreshing the local "database" also cleanup images referring to my previous database? Hi Raytestrak, I have the same problem. How can I clear or refresh the "database" on Kore? Thanks Roberto RE: Kore - Kodi/XBMC remote for Android - Raytestrak - 2015-06-29 (2015-06-29, 11:53)roberto99 Wrote:(2015-06-09, 18:32)Raytestrak Wrote: I just reset my entire database and Kodi needed to refresh all my artwork, so I'm wondering if Kore needs to do the same? RE: Kore - Kodi/XBMC remote for Android - roberto99 - 2015-06-29 Thanks Raytestrak. Meanwhile I already had uninstalled and reinstalled Kore, which solved my problem perfectly. RE: Kore - Kodi/XBMC remote for Android - davire - 2015-06-30 Dear syncd, first of all, thanks for your job. I'm using your app, specially the option of downloading the movies and TV series locally to the tablet. I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but Kore only downloads the video file but not the subtitles. Thanks. RE: Kore - Kodi/XBMC remote for Android - Nazgulled - 2015-07-01 Looking at the FAQ I see that we should enable both Allow programs on this system to control XBMC and Allow programs on other systems to control XBMC but I do have Kore configured and working without them. I'm assuming Kodi is being controlled via HTTP (the webserver)? So, what exactly are these settings for? What are they needed for? Do they prevent Kore from working properly? How? I just really want to understand their purpose since they've always confused me... For the record, this was all tested on the same local network, not remotely (not sure if that's relevant). RE: Kore - Kodi/XBMC remote for Android - serj-47 - 2015-07-01 I can not add videos to the queue (from the application Youtube). Add this possibility when press the "share" . AFAIK it's not possible. I'm assuming Kodi is being controlled via HTTP (the webserver)? This is not the best place to get an answer to that, as it relates directly to Kodi. Take a look at the wiki: http://kodi.wiki/view/Settings/Services#Remote_control In any case, without "Allow programs on other systems to control XBMC" i would say it shouldn't work (webserver not active), but i agree that that setting kind of conficts with some on the Webserver section. Kore uses TCP primarily, but falls back on HTTP if it can't connect through TCP (HTTP is always required, to download images and to some commands). Maybe "Allow programs on other systems to control XBMC" afects the TCP connection. RE: Kore - Kodi/XBMC remote for Android - RalphUp - 2015-07-02 Any chance a Widget will be included soon. Loved the Widget in the old official app. RE: Kore - Kodi/XBMC remote for Android - Nazgulled - 2015-07-05 (2015-07-02, 20:43)syncd Wrote: This is not the best place to get an answer to that, as it relates directly to Kodi. Take a look at the wiki: http://kodi.wiki/view/Settings/Services#Remote_controlThe wiki doesn't really explain anything. I asked here because I assumed the guys behind Kore would understand those settings better that anyone. With Webserver disabled, Kore doesn't work at all, even with all other settings enabled. Webserver is a must for Kore to function. And that's all it needs to do everything it's capable of doing. At least on my end, I don't need to have anything else enabled and Kore just works. That's what I was trying to understand, since the FAQ clearly states to enable more than the Webserver. RE: Kore - Kodi/XBMC remote for Android - scottmay - 2015-07-06 Hi, loving this app. I have a problem with refreshing - new tv shows don't appear. New episodes do, but brand new shows added to Kodi don't. Refresh eventually toasts "Sync Successful" but no new show. Fails on my HTC One M7, Nexus 7 2013 and Nexus 9. Using Kore version 1.4.0 from the play store. Is there somewhere I can look for clues? I've tried uninstalling/re-installing. |
