Do you mean to have a slideshow of fanarts from the smartplaylist as background?

This option is already there.

i get only random bg shown while choosing a widget....

I have created a smartplaylist with some filtering on genres to get most "colorful" icandy selection. With random option and editing in smartplaylist file to return only 1 result. Then I have appended this to menu option. Settings on widget are "use classic widget style" and " only display widgets when pressing up".
I am quite happy with this.

I know that this works but i want to have menu option with all movies, classic widget showing latest movies and bg showing playlist content of all movies in random order
so what i need is an option to choose a playlist for showing background images... aeon nox have this and also sualfred implemented it in his bello fredo mod

I know what you mean, because I was looking for exact the same thing... since I havent found it I have workarounded to the one I wrote in previous post.
I have a few suggestions which I havent wrote down before and one of them is exactly this case.

I´ve already tried to live with the solution you used but when i select my "unseen" playlist for the widgets the bg does not change..
it shows only the bg of the first movie in the list....

True... it allways shows the first one. It would be nice to have an option to bind a background independently to any smartplaylist as a slideshow.
Lets wait a bit... I am sure JM is open for suggestions and as I see it, he reconsideres all sugestions wisely... it just takes time, you know when the real life comes in between.

All you need to do is export all your Movie fanart to a folder then select that as the background with the "replace widget fanart with slideshow" turned on

I know but this is exactly what i don´t want to do coz everytime i add a new series or a new movie i have to duplicate my fanart to another folder on my disk.
Since i´ve found the function with playing BG´s from a defined playlist in Aeon Nox its hard to live without

If you use Artwork Downloader, it has a feature to centralise artwork into a folder and will do it whenever it collects new artwork.

Multiple pictures in novadays storage sizes is not really a problem.
The problem is that I would like to avoid some nasty, violent and bloody fanarts, since the kids are also using this media center.
If I have control over smartplaylist, then I can choose the right funarts over smartplaylist filtering possibilities.

Dont think it's possible whilst using skinshortcuts. I can think of one way but it involves rewriting all the home screen code which is ridiculous just to do this.
