As you can see in following images, actiaved/deactivated buttons in addons settings are not showed.

RE: Arctic Horizon - Edworld - 2020-05-08

Is it normal behavior to have trailer button even though YouTube is not installed or trailers in library?

RE: Arctic Horizon - effe.rnr - 2020-05-08

Hi @jurialmunkey

what do you think of the possibility to autoscroll only the fullscreen widget (like it is with banners)?

RE: Arctic Horizon - damianar1984 - 2020-05-08

Can anyone tell me what the sense of the addon tmdbhelper is?
The addon is pretty cool for browsing through movies, tv series pp but it opens the youtube addon playing a movie.

Is there any way get asked which addon should be used to play/search for the movie instead of youtube?

It plays from the Library. You can also add players as shown here https://github.com/jurialmunkey/plugin.video.themoviedb.helper/wiki/Player-Function

It's also an excellent alternative to Next Aired(6.0.18) add-on Smile

Also, the option 'Landscape Art' in settings doesn't seem to have any effect, I was expecting this to toggle between episode & fanart thumbs, is that not what this button is for? It just seems to default to fanart.

Added issue about wall artwork on github: https://github.com/jurialmunkey/skin.arctic.horizon/issues/163

Landscape Art option doesn't do what you think it does.
All it does is toggle between preferring the "Landscape" artwork type if available instead of "Fanart" - it doesn't override showing the episode thumbnail.

This is landscape art:

You can hide episode thumbs for unwatched items and display fanart/landscape instead by disabling episode thumbs in
Media Settings > Videos > Show information for unwatched items (uncheck episode thumb).

Ah yep. Can confirm.
Should be fixed in v0.2.46

I have Artwork Beef installed. When I go to a movie's details and hit Manage --> Choose Artwork --> Artwork Beef --> Fanart. Artwork beef will report the selected image is downloaded but its not setting the selected image as the movie's background.

If I use Choose Artwork --> Kodi --> Fanart, the movie's background changes to the selected image.

Is this expected or have I missed a setting?

Artwork beef allows you to select multiple fanart images. Make sure you only have one selected to make it the default - otherwise you have to use Kodi's dialog.

Just one question. I've changed the 'recently added' widget in the movies category to have banner aspect artwork. Is it possible to have the title of the movie appear within the frame of the banner? That way, I don't have to have it highlighted to know what movie it is.

Banner artwork normally already has the title in the artwork:

Where there is no banner artwork, but there is clearlogo and fanart then the skin combines these to fake a banner look
Image

If you don't have a title then your library is missing banner and/or clearlogo artwork for the item -- you will need to add it using artwork beef.

On another note, something I hadn't noticed since until now I used the integrated seasons option (now I'm trying to do without, since it seems a lot slower, guess you're using the episodes as widgets for that?), as you'll see in the picture, this is the Netflix addon (castagnait's) and while on the title individual seasons with number are displayed as they're selected, just above the (supposed) season posters there's "All Seasons" displayed instead.

I'm guessing it might have to do with the way the addon returns the data but thought I'd post anyway and see what's up.

Image

You're correct about the integrated view - the "view" itself is just the season buttons and underneath is an episode widget for every season based upon the folderpath of the season. If you scroll over lots of seasons it will be slower because each one that is made visible Kodi will try to load and will continue to load it in the background even if it hides (i.e. Kodi doesn't try to kill the process it just lets it run its course) -- fine for library views but can be slow in plugins.

Yep, the label is set by the plugin. The label is whatever is set as PluginCategory or FolderName.

In the library the label is different because Kodi just sets tvshowtitle to foldername for seasons.

If TMDbHelper service monitor finds a Trailer then the button will also be shown.

I'm on the fence about whether to hide the button if YouTube isn't installed -- since YouTube now requires an API key to work, it might make more sense to hide the button if it isn't installed. I'm just not certain if there's other sources of Trailers or not -- I think it might be possible to also have trailers locally, so hiding the button would be a problem in that scenario.

Ah I didn't even realise it wasn't auto-scrolling - now that you mention it, you are completely correct!
Definitely is intended to auto-scroll. I'll see if I can fix it.

I think maybe you misunderstood what I was saying.

When you select fanart using Artwork Beef - you can choose multiple fanart images which get set as extrafanart.
In this screenshot I have three fanarts selected, so they get set as extrafanart.
Image

To set the default fanart image, you need to make sure that only one fanart is selected before pressing OK.
In this screenshot I only have one fanart selected, so it gets set as default fanart.

Also, you need to leave the library and then re-open it to see the change in Kodi.
