RE: Arctic Horizon - Starmanrf - 2020-05-10 @jurialmunkey This skin just gets better! The wall view is awesome, and the subtle lettering in the corner works great and looks great. Had a bit of an idea for navigation of wall views. As the page up/down buttons aren't mapped yet in the wall view, wonder if they could be assigned to cycle through the letters of the alphabet when viewed/sorted by title. so when pressing page down would take you from a to b and pressing again would take to the next letter and vice versa pressing page up would go to previous letter. Hope that makes sense lol, could be handy navigation feature for larger libraries. Cheers, Ryan RE: Arctic Horizon - FXB78 - 2020-05-10 (2020-05-10, 15:29)Starmanrf Wrote: The wall view is awesome, and the subtle lettering in the corner works great and looks great.I just had a look at this, as you say the placement in that bottom corner is much better, but I think the overall look of it was better before. I preferred it with a background box to make it easier to read and the addition of 'Letter:' seems a bit out of place and unnecessary, especially when it reads "Letter: 2" for numbers. I'd personally go back to the old way but moved to the bottom left as it is now RE: Arctic Horizon - jimkaf - 2020-05-10 (2020-05-10, 14:33)djcorvus Wrote:(2020-05-10, 14:10)jimkaf Wrote:Sorry, I should have been more specific - I meant what does it actually do? Might be a feature I'm missingOn the latest GitHub version: A sidebar appears on the left with filters like title, in progress, ratings etc where you can filter the library section you've entered. Changes and new versions are first posted in GitHub and then on jurialmonkey's Kodi repo though they're usually synced pretty often. I've found it a good measure I'd you're following the GitHub versions of the skin to be sure to do the same for TMDBhelper. Also, I can’t seem to find the option to show or hide the index letters in the wall view ... Yeah it's something I've been wanting to do for ages but only just recently figured out a little trick which would allow me to use a different layout from the default settings dialog. Normally Kodi uses the same settings dialog that is used for Audio/Video settings from the OSD. I've always found that dialog is fairly useless for the filter because it blocks the whole screen and so you can't see what you're filtering until after you close it -- which sort of defeats the purpose imo. Having it as a sidebar makes it so much more useful I think! I'd personally go back to the old way but moved to the bottom left as it is now Yeah I think I agree. Just trying to find something that is unobtrusive and my first few tests with the backing panel didn't look great in the corner -- but I think maybe it was more that it was too large rather than the style itself. I think maybe now I've found a good balance (gone back to backing panel but with a smaller sizing and keeping the corner placement). RE: Arctic Horizon - Shellcaster - 2020-05-11 Yet another fantastic skin @jurialmunkey . Thank you. Is it possible to have a delete button added to the recording information page? Currently it only has the option to play the recorded show. I know that it can be deleted from the context menu but a simple click to delete would greatly help the WAF. Alternatively, on the list of recorded shows can there be the option to display the context menu when a recored item is clicked? So instead of going to the item information page it gives you a menu - Play, Delete, etc. RE: Arctic Horizon - FXB78 - 2020-05-11 I have a small bug with the Power menu causing AH to lock to the menu bar on the Home screen which is not present in AZ2 or Estuary. The main reason I use this menu is to Reload the skin but just by entering the Power menu I can recreate it. Essentially if I open the Power menu - my shortcut is ActivateWindow(shutdownmenu) - then click Back to come out of it or select any option on there, I can't click Right to go to the widgets, it's 'locked' to the menu bar. Clicking Back again twice fixes it so it's just a small bug with the focus somewhere in the AH skin. However I find it pretty hard to read (white text on light background). Would it be an idea to align it with "Invert home Menu Colours" option? Or any other way for it to show it with a dark background? I like the light home menu but find the dialogs easier to read with a dark background. Thanks. It shouldn't be white text on white background. That's a bug. EDIT: Should be fixed now. I forgot that the invert colours setting exists. I don't really use the recordings feature very much in the PVR, so I'm not very familiar with the functions -- would be useful if there's another skin that I can look at how it's done. |
