Has anybody tried using voice search for items exported to your Kodi library with the Nvidia Shield?
Must admit, I haven't tried the voice search feature for a very long time, but I exported a few Netflix items to my Kodi library today as a quick experiment.
Anytime I asked for exported items to play using Kodi, the response was 'Kodi is not installed or cannot be searched'
When I just said the name of the TV Show or movie, a dialog would appear with the apps these items are available to play on, but Kodi was not listed.

Is voice search on the shield broken for Kodi or does it just not work for exported Netflix items?
I'm using Kodi 18.3, which I installed today.

Why would you want to though?
Just use the app, it's more reliable, faster, easier to use and offers trouble free HDR and 4k. I think this add-on is more for boxes that can't run the proper Netflix app.

far from the only reason.

I run it because its more convenient to have everything in one place, netflix, prime all in the same app along with trakt support

That's my primary concern as well. I dont like a scattered experience. Specially when I have other family members using it too.

Everything needs to be accessible from a single interface.

I'd rather use Kodi than Netflix's native player on my Xiaomi Mi Box (MDZ-16-AB). Kodi allows, among other things, a better setting of subtitles ...

Netflix settings, expert tab, active the option Enable IPC over HTTP.

I think will solve your timeout in Signal Add-on.

i enabled ipc over http and now i get another error
https://paste.kodi.tv/afolibiwen
any help with this?
Where can we go with errors?

Best place to contact the add-on developer directly is the issues section of the GitHub repository here; https://github.com/CastagnaIT/plugin.video.netflix/issues

You need to create an account to post an issue, but it should not be a problem to do that.  I posted an issue there and got a response quickly.

Yeah, I think my reply wasn't written very well. I think it would be very nice to have everything integrated, unfortunately I find that it's much easier to just switch to the Netflix app with a double click of the home button than it is to jump though the hurdles associated with playing something through the add-on. If I didn't want 4k playback then I think I would prefer the add-on but having to open up video settings and change the resolution for every show takes a lot more time than just switching apps.

No support for this addon?

RE: Netflix Add-on [input-stream] - Dumyat - 2019-07-30

Is there any way to stop the Netflix notification popping up every time I log into Kodi? I'm guessing this must also trigger a new log-in being registered, as I've just deleted 35 email messages received from Netflix since last Saturday to advise me of these new log-in's.

Also, when exporting items any chance of just exporting the SRTM file. Then I can scrape the movie and TV show folders as I do with regular items being added to my video library. At the moment, the export seems to export Netflix data, but is missing genre, rating info and won't let me add the clearlogo artwork. The only way to get around this is to do a manual refresh for every item I export....just seems like double the effort.

Addon settings > Expert > Advanced Addon Configuration > Disable startup notification

The startup notification can be switched on or off, but startup of the Netflix addon itself cannot, i.e. if Netflix addon is enabled then it starts on Kodi start.  I raised the issue of constant emails from Netflix for 'new device log-ins' a few posts back and a few others have noted the same but I haven't seen any constructive response yet.

I will see if raising it as an issue via github gets a response.

When exporting items the Update Video Library function should kick in automatically and should already scrape the Netflix folders as for your other library folders.  Have you set the Netflix folders as library content?  (i.e. 'movies' folder as Movies and 'shows' folder as TV shows) ... If so, then they should be scraped whenever a video library update occurs.
