Hi @primaeval, thanks for the new Catbar I have included it in my Skin mod and its working well. is it advisable I disable the old bar as it is not needed anymore? currently pressing menu still brings it up. also the main blue bg in my skin is hosted externally. (url). I will like to put it in the skin media file as a default bg. so i dont put pressure on my host from downloads. can you please point me to the default bg name.

here is it with the new Catbar.

Best Regards

Looks good.

The main epg background is the image control with id 4600.
If you want your own, just copy that image control and put yours as the next control. Remove the id.
Put a url in the <texture>. Make 4600 invisible.
Kodi should cache the external image after the first access I think.
I've added a bit of code in the main startup file addon.py to copy the big images to the addon_data folder but its probably unnecessary.

You'll probably need to make a custom Command Actions file with the Lab1 \ Action Editor to remap the Menu key to go to the Category Bar instead.

I'm going to leave the menu bar that pops up with the Menu key in there because I usually use the Default skin and like to have the categories hidden.

I've hijacked the Teletext Colour buttons for the Searches recently, so you need to Remap them to your links too.

Let me know if you need any help with that. You can always pm me with a link to your skin and I'll check how to set it up.

Can anyone help me with getting my logos to appear properly

https://www.dropbox.com/s/apa5vctbigyknxz/20170122_211213.jpg?dl=0

As you can see from the above image, most of my logos are transparent (if that's the correct wording), except for the last 3 (they have a white background).
I have tried removing the background in Irfanview with no success.
Can anyone advise me how to do it?

Those look like the logos that come with the .xmltv files. What you need are a set of these

Try here:
http://www.iconharmony.com/icons/watchtv/wicket:interface/wicket-0:0::INewBrowserWindowListener::/wicket:pageMapName/wicket-0

Or
http://www.thelogodb.com/

Or
http://blog.guifx.com/category/downloads/network-logos/

Save the logo packs to a separate folder the use them instead of the standard logos

Your new skin controls work great and the action bar is a nice idea. The action bar has what i consider "occasional commands" so it's nice to have the option to tidy up some of the screen clutter without sacrificing control. I thank you for all the mouse support, and even i think you have a little overkill now in the 4300s haha. The last control i can see being useful is a button or onclick command to toggle the action bar if it's possible, without having to write an xml like the old categories. As the action bar is occasional controls it would be nice to have the ability to bring them up occasionally (in my case overtop of the categories tab to save screen space). That way the constant visible mouse controls can be minimized and reserved for navigation controls only. I see you mostly use invisible controls for your navigation so i can see it being alot of work with minimal payoff for you, so i understand if you say no.

Also, I don't think you use 17 yet. I mentioned this before, but there are font inconsistencies in 17. Estuary and Confluence have different fonts, but more importantly different or missing font ids. Any font in your skin with "title" (ie: font10_title) will default to font13 in Estuary. One big noticeable example would be the channel number size in estuary (larger than Confluence). I test with 17 using Confluence, but every now and then switch to Estuary to look for inconsistencies. There's a few new changes to the addon.xml in 17 too, using the Estuary skin addon.xml as a reference. One major inclusion is screenshots inside the addon information tab showing off the addon in action. When i finalize my skin i was thinking of also using it as a help screen where i label the hidden controls in the screenshots for the end users reference.

All those extra mouse buttons were for you. Wink I tried to do the lot so you didn't have to ask for any more functionality for them in gui.py.

I'm having problems hiding the Action Bar. I sent you an email. There might have to be a separate dialog for it like the original categories bar dialog.

The Estuary font is a pain. I really don't want to make 4 skins. Wink It doesn't sound too pleasant either.

I don't know why they are breaking so much in Krypton when they haven't got enough devs already.

They've changed the changelog so you'll have to update the changelog, the addon.xml and the repo addon.xml every time to be compatible with Jarvis and Krypton.

I know Microsoft keep changing fundamental things to sell more product but there is no need for Kodi to.

@primeaeval you had been warned in the past about promoting an supporting piracy add-ons

moved by bry - bry - 2017-01-23

Your thread was moved to the Spam & Rule Violation sub-forum because it violated either our Piracy Policy or the Forum Rules.

The most common reason for this to happen is a request for support that involves wizards, add-ons and/or add-on repositories from a third party which provides illegal content or violates the law/copyright in some manner. A list of the common ones can be found on the wiki at Banned_add-ons (wiki), however please note this is not a comprehensive list: even though an add-on may not be listed, it may still be in violation of our Piracy Policy. Kodi does not provide, nor is in any way related to, these add-ons and is not responsible for any misuse of private data or damage to your system which untrustworthy add-ons like these may cause.

If you bought a box which had Kodi pre-installed along with these add-ons, please ask the box vendor or seller for help as we can't give support for modified versions of Kodi. If you're having playback issues with one of these add-ons and think they are related to Kodi, try to reproduce them with an add-on from our official repository (e.g. Youtube). If you're not able to reproduce the problem, it's highly likely that it's not a Kodi issue, and you should ask the respective add-on author for help.
