$5 says you didn't do a reset using the recovery media (as per section 1.3 of the wiki) prior to install. Do that, the redo the dual boot setup and you'll be all set

try manually deleting the user data for the OpenELEC addon (delete the folder \Userdata\addon_data\service.openelec.settings ) and reboot

you can do a 'soft reset' which is effectively the same thing. only takes me 5 min or so to reset everything, but I'm well-practiced given the amount of testing I do
