Skin Settings > Miscellaneous > Play trailer fullscreen in info dialog
FYI - It's not "true" fullscreen. It's faked with a videowindow overlay that has fullscreen dimensions. When Kodi switches to actual fullscreen, it forces the info dialog to close -- so this fake fullscreen lets the info dialog stay open by opening the video "windowed" on top of the info dialog.

When the "pop out sub menu " the pop out has its own black back panel , but the whole screen goes black behind it , is it possible to have the screen( full screen) still showing , maybe blurred rather than a full black screen when the submenu pop up appears ?

You can set it in the "Fullscreen widget". It uses the same path, and is more reliable.
If you don't mind, how do I do this , I have set full screen widget path to "suggested series based on last viewed" in embuary helper, how to I then set a widget in the TV Shows section to show this heading ?

It shouldn't be black - it should only be dimmed slightly. Looks like somewhere in the recent changes, the dim was getting applied twice making it look really dark. Should be fixed now so it is only slightly dimmed.
Unfortunately blur overlays are not possible -- I can only blur a specific image, not actual parts of the screen.

I want to do something a little unorthodox and I hope you can help? I'd like to add a home screen menu/toggle that changed the setting 'Default select action in addon' of TheMovieDb Helper addon, rather than having to go into the addon itself to make the change.
I have the mainmenu.DATA.xml open and I've manually added the following but then I'm stumped a but. I understand you're busy with the skin but I'm wondering if you can help me out a little here?

I did a couple new installations the last few days and I noticed AH seemed to be decisively slower than estuary with TMDBHelper, accessing trakt and other lists etc. I've no complaint whatsoever, it's obvious I love this skin but I'm curious as to what is slowing things down.
Same also happens with the Netflix add-on between the two skins.
Things with tmdbhelper did seem to (obviously) improve when I turned off fanart.tv but still there was quite some difference between the two.
Otherwise great work, in the last versions I can even get Netflix widgets to load from start without having to reload the skin.

Probably because Arctic Horizon is more likely to have multiple online requests happening at once.
In Estuary, TMDbHelper's service monitor isn't running at all, there's no lists in the info dialog other than cast, and all the home screen widgets are library db based. So when you open a list in TMDbHelper or Netflix, that list is the only plugin instance making an online request.
However, in Arctic Horizon, it's possible that there are still some home screen widgets or info dialog lists loading -- even though the window/dialog closes, Kodi just lets the plugin code complete its course (it'd be risky for Kodi just to terminate plugin code without an exit routine). Combine that with the service monitor, and suddenly you can potentially have several separate plugin instances running in the background making online requests at the same time.
