[mac] updated RTMP requested - mrdally204 - 2011-06-17

Can someone please compile and post an updated RTMP from the SVN. I have changed my librtmp on windows 7 to v2.3 r569, and it has fixed most/all streaming issues I have had handshake problems with. Is is possible to simply replace the 1 file on a Mac to have the same results? If so, can a kind person please compile and post it (:

I would like to bump this post with the added incentive. The latest GIT code has added support for RTMPE 9 handshake. This means that Hulu and many other add ons that failed the handshake now will be working. I can confirm that Hulu add on is running once again on my Windows 7 machine using the posted dll. Is there anyone that can compile this for the Mac as I'm sure the whole community will benefit from it.

RTMP 2.4 informational post and link to Windows dll

I'm still not having any luck and the APPLETV 1. I install the latest nightly, it runs OK. Other plug-ins work. I copy the librtmp.so file to XBMC.App/Contents/Frameworks but get booted out with status 10 every time I try to play something from the free cable or Hulu plug-in.

The librtmp in there is a .so.dylib and and the one which i thought worked was a plain .so

Am i missing something. Has anyone gotten the updated librtmp.so to work on an AppleTV[1] and have they gotten the free cable and or Hulu plug-in to work.

I am not familiar enough with Mac development to know but i assume one is dynamic and one is static. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

Here's pretty much step-by-step what I did:

Take the file from http://forum.xbmc.org/showpost.php?p=839939&postcount=8

Rename it to "librtmp.0.dylib"

Put the file in XBMC.App/Contents/Frameworks/

I am also using nightlies and for the last few days it has worked. Hulu works, Free Cable, Daily Show, South Park, all of those are working great.
