[MOD] Tube Travel Status Update - el_Paraguayo - 2011-10-27 This will only be of interest to people living in London, but I've written a short script to get live Tube updates and display it in XBMC. I've modded my version of Cirrus Extended v2 to display it: I've got a couple more tweaks to do and then I'll release the code. - butchabay - 2011-10-27 London? Ok i'm moving A very nice idea mate, good job! - PatrickBateman - 2011-10-31 Brilliant, Can this be down with: http://www.mybustracker.co.uk/ (user needs to enter bus code) http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/times_fares/ldb/ (user needs to enter station) This would be awesome! Great work el_p - el_Paraguayo - 2011-10-31 PatrickBateman Wrote:Brilliant, National Rail - yes, should be possible Buses - not sure, may be possible for bus stop info - depends on how the data is provided. I'll have a look later and let you know. - el_Paraguayo - 2011-10-31 el_Paraguayo Wrote:National Rail - yes, should be possible Very definitely possible - should be able to knock this out pretty quickly in fact! (Although I know I'll regret those words soon enough...) - PatrickBateman - 2011-10-31 That is fantasitc bro, As soon as its out count me in! I could have done with this last night as i picked my GF up from the station and instead of having to follow it on line i can just pop it on the screen and watch in real time! so we can have this imformation displayed? The bus one is just time based arrivals at a particular stop. So if i enter my home bus stop i can literally watch it live on xbmc rather than on the web! Amazing work el_p ... Amazing! - butchabay - 2011-10-31 el_Paraguayo Wrote:Very definitely possible - should be able to knock this out pretty quickly in fact! That one's a bit trickier than the live departure boards. I'll get that working first and then take a look at the live train information (although my personal experience of that service has been less than satisfactory!). - PatrickBateman - 2011-10-31 I'm just getting all excited again... These features are very very useful to me indeed .. Cheers bro. Live departures is good enough - el_Paraguayo - 2011-11-02 el_Paraguayo Wrote:Very definitely possible - should be able to knock this out pretty quickly in fact! (Although I know I'll regret those words soon enough...) Slight delay here I've got issues with my TV aerial so MythTV is not recording my wife's US dramas so I need to fix that first! However, I've written a script to pull together the live train info so it's just a case of modding the skin to display it. Hope to finish soon. - el_Paraguayo - 2011-11-03 Almost there... (and for the eagle-eyed who spotted that the first train is at 22:16 and "on time" but the time is 22:19, it's because I hadn't bothered to refresh the times for the screenshot!) - PatrickBateman - 2011-11-03 Ohh, I like it! Are you gonna get these scrips of yours in a repo or something sometime? I think you need one Looking great and eagerly awaiting a release Amazing work as usual dude. - el_Paraguayo - 2011-11-03 PatrickBateman Wrote:Ohh, The trouble is, these scripts tend not to be the download-and-run type, they work best when a skinner incorporates them directly into the skin (although I could conceivably change this). - el_Paraguayo - 2011-11-16 Pat, You should move to London. They're about to release the live bus stop data to developers. When I get a chance I'll see if I can scrape the Edinburgh data for you. el_P - eddiem - 2011-11-17 Don't know if it helps but there are Android App's for Edinburgh. http://code.google.com/p/androidedinburghbustracker/ http://code.google.com/p/redbus/ |
