Alaska apple tv issue - Hoffer - 2011-11-06
Hi there. Firstly sorry for my first post being a cry for help.
I was trying to set up xbmc on my appletv yesterday connected to a windows home server but have come across a major stumbling block.
I added the Alaska skin and now it just says it is busy and I am unable to navigate anywhere. I also seem unable to get to the appearance setting to get out of Alaska.
I have used various remote helpers to use a keyboard to press S but all it does it take me out of xbmc into the main menu. The same happens when I hold the menu button on the remote.
I have deleted and reinstalled xbmc both through nitro tv and ssh and when it is reinstalled it's still on alaska and I still have this issue. PLEASE Help me
Oh and I'm a bit of a technical idiot so if you could dumb down your answers that would help me

You need to remove the current skin from the guisettings.xml found in your userdata folder.
