add fav to home along with video pics weather - stormlight - 2012-08-23
hello all,
Is it possible to add a favorite to the home screen that is not inside of favorites but as a main choice like movies, pictures, weather ect?
I haven't seen this request yet on the forum. Sorry for asking if my searches were not good.

you can manually add any item to favourites.xml (in your userdata folder)
and they will show up in favourites in xbmc.
for instance for weather, add this entry to the file:

Im sorry i must have not explained myself well. I would to get favorites out of the favorite folder and direclty on the main screen along with Movies, pictures, weather.
So instead of
Movies
Pictures
Favorites
Music.
I would like
Movies
Pictures
actual Favorite (not favorite folder)
another Favorite (not fav folder)
Music
System

i got that
in T! you can map any favourite to a home menu button,
see: Skin Settings > Menu > Custom 1 > Favourite

I have tried that. And I get a blank box and not able to click on it though.

Sorry I think I got it. I disabled the subMenu and it shows.
