hey!
i've read all the topics about the freezing stuff and xbmc. i have the same problem and i've tried everything! (deleting the system.bin files and so on) the versions from the 10th and the 12th of october won´t start, the one from the 7th and before starts without problems..... i tried an old xbe file with the new version, works but no point! what could be the problem
it works fine on my friends xboxes... could it be an old modchip...??plz help! (i really like the xbmc app!

try to whipe xbmc completly from your xbox and reinstall.

same problem for me,all version except the very first one,i have tried delete .bin/whole folder,and then reinstall,but it just freezed on evox loading screen.

that´s so wierd, have tried to wipe the xbmc folder! what is the problem? bios?? suggestions??

are you using a lba48 bios (for hd bigger than 137gb)?
xbmc don't work with lba48 enabled bioses (it only will if you the g:drive method and install xbmc one e

same thing is happening to me as well with just the default installation of xbmc it hangs on startup. i'm using a xbox v1 and get this an enigma chip.... yeah i'm lazy, haven't ordered a newer chip....
tried both the 10-10 and 10-12 build with same results.

me too! it's happening the same...only the 7 october build starts,8-10-12 october ones freeze!
i've got xbox v1 with an homemade chip flashed with mr.sporty bios 1.1...

i always update whole package, recompiling also config.xml for new feautures.even for xbmc...
i hope these failures would not mean changing modchip, as i can't do it...

it was freezing for me because i had removed the text 'xbox media center oct 12th 2003 build' from the \language\english\strings.xml file.
if this string is empty it freezes on me. if it contains some text it does not.
maybe this helps ?
