I am on frodo RC3. If I upgrade would i need to reseup all my shares/libraries/addons etc or are all my settings saved and carried over?
its taken me ages to get it how i like it!

Since you are already on RC3, upgrading to Final (when it becomes available) should not have any impact on your existing settings.
Unlike someone upgrading to Frodo from Eden, you don't even have to deal with the minor changes in the placement of some settings or default values since you are already familiar with the layout of Frodo. As Martijn pointed out, see the XBMC_v12_(Frodo)_FAQ (wiki) for information, especially what you may want to backup as a precaution before doing any upgrade.
