Frodo final and pvr plugin for myth is slower than the github version - JasonPell - 2013-01-30

i am running git://github.com/fetzerch/xbmc-pvr-addons.git from 29th of Jan and there is no lag or loading dialogs. when i install the ubuntu package for myth its noticeably slower. is this expected?

i am using xubuntu 12.04.1 up to date as of 29th jan.
i am using mythtv 0.26 latest as of 29th jan

awesome work with the plugin it keeps getting better

You're right, this is weird!
We should better push the fixes directly into the xbmc main repo as soon as they compile.
And once they get more stable, we can still pull them into the development repo. Wink

Nope, the thing is we have done a huge refactoring to get this performance and stability.
Unfortunately too big and too late to be accepted for the Frodo release.
But now that the pvr addon repositories are in place, we hope than we can release the current development version "soon".

I've built OpenELEC using the new version of the plugin for two platforms, and you can download it here:

ION x86_64: http://www.mediafire.com/?3lb9z64626jircr

Raspberry Pi: http://www.mediafire.com/?ch12hu0dxee5oac

Use at your own risk, of course.

Hope this helps.
