does the connection get restored?
does vdr work with other frontends (streamdev+web browser/xineliboutput+sxfe)?
the connection might be lost for a few seconds while epg is being updated in the backend.

I can only speak for vnsi. connection lost means not running or crashed vdr.

i've had it happen to me with both plugins. the connection would get lost and restored within a few seconds.
never bothered me. i was taking a shot in the dark with my questions since there wasn't that much info to go on.
