Shutdown function! - neub - 2013-03-10
Hi guy,
I was wondering if someone know a way to shutdown or at least shut the screen off my android using XBMC directly
I have a rooted BQ 10 tablet connected to a TV by hdmi, and I use XBMC remote from my bed to control it... The thing is there are no way to shutdown it (even if I am root).
Does someone know a trick to do it?

Why do it within XBMC?
I do all that stuff from within Android using a couple of free apps

I use the wifi on/off timer to turn streams off each night so I don't waste bandwidth.
Also, you can reboot auto and have your screen go off on it's natural settings after booting.
I use one of the free reboot apps each night at midnight.
Just an idea.
