Saving configuration changes - David Dias - 2013-03-12

First, this is the best skin for XBMC out there, that's a fact.
Is there a way that I can save all my changes I've done to the skin as a backup? Will keeping a backup copy of the guisettings.xml be sufficient?

I ask because today I start up XBMC and get the default Confluence theme, when I switch over to Back Row all my changes are gone, it's like I'm seeing Back Row for the first time.

Settings for each skin you use are saved automatically. The fact that your system reverted to the Confluence skin by itself tells me that your guisettings.xml file was erased, moved or damaged, so when you switched to the Back Row skin, it presented you with the skin defaults because your previous settings were lost. Be sure you shutdown XBMC properly so the guisettings.xml and other XBMC files get saved to disk.

Interesting, thanks. Now that I think about it, the day before this happened my htpc crashed and rebooted automatically, while XBMC Frodo was running.
