Video stutter on some SD channels - Frodo 12.1 Vnsi 0.9.1 - sirwio - 2013-04-03

Playback of live tv do frequently, every other second, video/audio stutter on some SD channels - not all. Recordings made on the troublesome SD channels playback fine without audio/video stutter.

In the debug log below there is first some seconds playback of a working SD channel (pvr://channels/tv/All TV channels/63.pvr) followed by a channel that has frequent audio/video stutter (pvr://channels/tv/All TV channels/64.pvr).

Playback of the troublesome channels work flawless using softhddevice or using streamdev-server to vlc.

Any ideas?

You link does not work.
This sounds like the same issue I have fixed in vnsi4 last week. Could you try this version? http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=158684

The link the the debug log has been updated. Sorry about that...

Regarding the version you suggested. Is it enough to test the client or do one need to update both server and client? I assume both since its a new protocol version in vnsi4.

Using the frodo branch of git://github.com/FernetMenta/xbmc-pvr-addons.git does indeed make playback stutter less on the troublesome channels.

Can one expect the change/fix for the stutter problem to be pushed into the opdenkamp repository (vnsi3)? The current gentoo vdr-devel overlay for vnsi does fetch sources from the opdenkamp repository.
