I am running an Advent Vega tablet with Vegacream RC2 version 4.0.4
I have downloaded the Android frodo xbmc apk but when loading it says it's not compatible with the device... How can I make it work? Do I need a different version?

As the error message states, it's not compatible with your device.
XBMC needs a processor that supports "neon" (various details around here somewhere), and you have a non-neon processor. There are some unofficial builds that work (kind of) on non-neon devices. You can find a link to those unofficial builds on the Android FAQ (wiki).
