new user looking for some help - piperider - 2013-04-15 im wondering if anyone knows if XBMC can be loaded on this smart tv box Neo Tv Friend of mine just bought one and I must say it streams excellent for its price but its very limited. He only bought it for Netflix but I was curious if I could buy one of these and add XBMC to it.If anyone has any info I would appreciate it thanks RE: new user looking for some help - Ned Scott - 2013-04-15 No. It doesn't run any OS that XBMC can be installed on, and certainly not Android. I just found this info out so basically if its rootable wouldn't XBMC work on it? neo tv root RE: new user looking for some help - Ned Scott - 2013-04-19 Oh, it's a Google TV device. For some reason I thought it was one of their "simple" media players. Yeah, XBMC should "in theory" work on Google TV devices but only when documentation about Google TV/SDK/etc is more complete. Current generation Google TV is basically a modified Android, but it's missing some stuff, so XBMC isn't working on it yet. |
