TV-Stick, Amlogic AML8726-M3 - soltix - 2013-04-15 Hi, I just bought this product from ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/370690601398?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649 Specs: CPU Amlogic AML8726-M3 up to 1.2GHz ARM Cortex A9+ 1080P media+3D GPU Memory DDRIII 1G DDR3 I heard that this chip is perfect for hardware decoding in xbmc and should support 1080p / 720p etc. But when I run videos with this resolution it's really laggy and unwatchable. I've downloaded the android version 12.1 Frodo on this website. I'm I missing something here? Tried to find an answer on this forum but so for nothing helpful. RE: TV-Stick, Amlogic AML8726-M3 - Alchete - 2013-04-15 Android HW acceleration is still experimental and not enabled in the mainstream release. The latest XBMC test build with HW acceleration can be downloaded here: http://mirrors.xbmc.org/test-builds/android/xbmc-20130403-6200f76-Gotham_alpha2_stagefright-armeabi-v7a.apk RE: TV-Stick, Amlogic AML8726-M3 - Alchete - 2013-04-15 Actually, on second pass, the HW acceleration thread (http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=152005) states that AmLogic chips are not supported. * WARNING: Not for AmLogic nor Allwinner SoC's, which do not support libstagefright * So, you may be out of luck at the moment ... RE: TV-Stick, Amlogic AML8726-M3 - soltix - 2013-04-15 Thanks for your fast answer! I will try it and get back with the result. Yup you where right, the result remain the same, unwatchable. If you or anybody else has I solution I'm happy to hear it. RE: TV-Stick, Amlogic AML8726-M3 - momo - 2013-04-15 Just try that one (It works for me, 720p/1080p): http://www.geniatech.com/down-eng/androidtvbox/xbmcapp-armeabi-v7a-debug-20130330.zip RE: TV-Stick, Amlogic AML8726-M3 - soltix - 2013-04-15 Thx for the tip, still not working. RE: TV-Stick, Amlogic AML8726-M3 - soltix - 2013-04-16 Momo When I try to open the file with the filemanager it says "analyzing problems". Can't seem to open the application. Sepinho Hmm is it worth the risk? If I brick it is there any way to "un-brick" it? RE: TV-Stick, Amlogic AML8726-M3 - momo - 2013-04-17 sorry for the brocken file, please try that https://mega.co.nz/#!B0ByXLab!DITNlCKyUb21qH4uQu0tfBEZMP8R_UwO3CAErhk5mTM or https://mega.co.nz/#!wxBg0DDB!RwgLLkDq0J5NlAvN_eKD0xMx8Fs2Gl5bfT8GMcKZ_kQ RE: TV-Stick, Amlogic AML8726-M3 - soltix - 2013-04-18 thx again for the tip momo.
