Android Volume Control (I want the old way...) - 68hc11 - 2013-04-16

So the updated Frodo uses the Android device volume control to change the volume on the Android device.

This is contrary to my method of using XBMC / Android. I use my PC as a source device, the audio is output via digital fiber optic to my reciever and video is sent via HDMI (video only) to my screen.

I really did enjoy using the Android as a "smart remote" and the ability to control the volume output/ mute to my reciever was great (my reciever is not remote controllable).

Is there some way to "Change" the volume control of the Android back to the older method (controls the line out level?) rather than the Android device volume?

Thanks,
