Conneting with Android... - john_es - 2013-05-04 I have my movies on a NAS that is password protected. MySQL is running with shared library... I can browse to the share via Android just fine (after enter my username / password in the ec file explorer app). My advancedsettings.xml are in the correct location. I open up XBMC on the android phone and it shows me my library and list of movies/fanart. But when I go to play one, it says that the file is no longer accessible, would I like to remove it. What do I need to do to get this to connect properly? Thanks, John RE: Conneting with Android... - Ned Scott - 2013-05-04 Copy the password.xml file from one of the other computers to the android device. RE: Conneting with Android... - john_es - 2013-05-05 OK - I didn't have a password.xml on the other devices (connecting to NAS as a network drive). Your suggestion should solve it. RE: Conneting with Android... - john_es - 2013-05-08 strange- there is no password.xml on the machines - probably because I map the network drive and enter credentials that way. out of curiosity, is there any way to create/edit the password.xml file from the xbmc app itself? RE: Conneting with Android... - Ned Scott - 2013-05-08 That's the problem, don't use mapped network drives. Use the internal clients inside of XBMC for file sharing. RE: Conneting with Android... - mockingbirdblue - 2013-05-09 File manager inside XBMC john as Ned stated. |
