Remote App Fails to Find Server - b0rt - 2013-05-09

Hi,

I'm trying to get the remote to find the xbmc server that's running on Win7, but every time I try to connect, either by using the automatic Find button or by manually inputting the info, it never seems to connect. I've read about using the
http://<username>:<password>@<xbmc ip>:<xbmc port> in Safari, but even then it fails to find it instead saying the File is Local. I've opened the port on my firewall as well as given permission to allow Xbmc to bypass the firewall so I'm not too sure where to go from here. Thanks for the input!

Is the web server on? XBMC -> Settings -> Services -> Web server

I'm sorry but I don't see that option, perhaps because I'm running Eden? But if you're asking whether the "Allow control of XBMC via HTTP" is enabled then yes, it is.
