Default web interface scroll problem - paseant - 2013-06-06

Hi,

I have been trying to put together a way for low vision, older people to use XBMC: using an iPad running a web app to access a modified version of the default web interface with less options and bigger fonts and graphics to simplified use. It's working well except for a problem with scrolling that the original default web interface also suffers and one that I have been unable to fix it, no matter what I tried.

The problem is the following: take a fresh 12.2 install, put some content on it, activate the default web server interface and access it with an iOS device (iPad). If you scroll all the way down (slide up), the content leaves the page and it doesn't bounce back and is lost forever; scrolling up is not possible. It happens with all kind of content: movies, tv shows and music.

Please help with any suggestion or workaround!

Anyone?

Would it not be better to use one of the various remote control apps, such as Constellation?

Well no. The point is to be able to use a customized interface: the one I am using shows only two big covers per iPad screen, has huge fonts and very simplified navigation. Nonetheless, the problem is general and affects the default web interface when used from an iOS device.

Looks like the default interface is using iscroll to handle the scrolling. I haven't used this before.

Try getting the latest dist of iscroll-min.js from https://github.com/cubiq/iscroll to see if this aleviates your problem.
