Favourite naming in skin settings - StefanK - 2013-06-24 Hi Ronie Before the final releases of Frodo and T! 5 I experienced some problems with previous namings of submenu favourites hanging on to the submenu (while in skin settings). See this thread: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=146225 The problem hasn't disappeared with the upgrades to stable versions. So when I go to skin settings and look at the submenu favourites they are named: "favourite 1 - youtube" "favourite 2 - ..." And I cannot change this - neither by changing the favourite for each button nor by unticking it. I have uninstalled T!, replaced guisettings and tried different other things, but not the right one, obviously. One solution would be to reset my master profile, but is that possible? I mean creating a new user profile, and subsequently making this my new master profile? RE: Favourite naming in skin settings - ronie - 2013-06-24 i'm gonna need a Debug Log of you trying to change a favourite. when doing this, the top item in the favourites selection list should be 'None (clear current settings)" also which version of T! are you using? (check settings > system info for the version number) RE: Favourite naming in skin settings - StefanK - 2013-06-24 Debug log here, lots of information, hope you can find the right lines... http://pastebin.com/VuiPaZRf Transparency! v5.0.9 RE: Favourite naming in skin settings - ronie - 2013-06-26 no errors in the log and you seem to be taking all the right steps. i have no idea why it wouldn't work for you. the only relevant file in your profile is guisettings.xml as that's where the skin stores all it's settings. RE: Favourite naming in skin settings - StefanK - 2013-06-27 Just to make sure we are talking about the same thing - I have posted a screenshot "[image: http://www.flickr.com/photos/88097663@N02/9154895406/]" It shows how the previously (during Eden and T! v.4) entered name of a favourite button now is integrated with the favourite text - it doesn't change with language settings either. I replaced guisettings.xml with that from another machine, but while the skin settings changed accordingly, the error remained... RE: Favourite naming in skin settings - ronie - 2013-06-28 ah, a picture says more than a thousand words :-) that's indeed a bug in the skin right there. i'll add it to the list of things to fix for the next release. cheers mate! RE: Favourite naming in skin settings - StefanK - 2013-06-28 Sounds great - I'll be waiting for that release! Meanwhile - why on earth doesn't the bug disappear when I uninstall+reinstall T!? And how about just copying a /userdata/addon/transparency folder from a machine without the bug? Maybe because it is a bug And now - time for vacation RE: Favourite naming in skin settings - ronie - 2013-06-29 jus replace this file and you should be fine: https://transparency-xbmc.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/720p/SkinSettings.xml RE: Favourite naming in skin settings - StefanK - 2013-06-29 oh yes - thanks a lot! |
