So, what am I doing wrong? I've supplied (presumably) the correct user id, credentials, and whatnot to xbmc.

Looks like you've compiled the Gotham version. You need to check out the frodo version before compiling.

How does one get the frodo version? I just cloned the git repo listed in the wiki, assuming that it would contain the source for the current stable xbmc.

Did that, now when I try to install the addon, it claims that dependencies are not met.

I seem to recall a "force refresh" might solve something like that, but I can't recall how to do it.

Delete the gotham add on from the addons dir, thn try to reinstall. If that doesn't work try manually copying the contents of the add on zip file into the add on dir.

Also you don't have any PVR packages installed via apt-get do you?

No PVR packages installed via apt.

I tried manually copying the contents of the zip, and now get:

"An unknown error has occurred.

whenever xbmc starts.

So, I backed out and nuked from orbit.

from ~/Source, I:
git clone http://github.com/fetzerch/xbmc-pvr-addons
cd xbmc-pvr-addons
git checkout frodo
git pull
./bootstrap
./configure --enable-addons-with-dependencies
make -j4 clean zip

From there, I copied the zip file in addons to my xbmc home directory.
When installing, I still get "dependencies not met".

What dependencies does this addon have?

Hmmm.. not sure. You're using ubuntu right? Maybe try make without the -j4.

No, I'm using debian.

The j4 flag is simply the number of jobs. It will have no impact whether I use it or not.

I'm using Frodo 12.2, mythtv 0.27, and the latest xbmc-pvr-addons from the git repo, in the frodo branch.

Is there a way to force either Frodo 12.2 to use xbmc.pvr version 1.6.0, or to force the mythtv addon to use whatever version is native to 12.2?

The j flag has at times caused problems when compiling softeare for me in the past, just a suggestion.
