How to XBMC with two bluetooth headsets? - darking999 - 2013-11-25

Hi guys, I am planning to build an XBMC device to be available in the living room. Since I will be watching movies on different timing during the day (I mean even after midnight) I am thinking of using two Bluetooth headsets for me and my wife.

But I am not sure how to do it yet HuhHuh? What I believe is that I will in need for two Bluetooth USB adapters to be used with the two BT headsets.

Please advise me on what I can do about it, and thank you.

You can only connect 1 BT device at a time to a BT adapter. I suppose it may be possible to have two BT adapters on your HTPC, but I think getting both to connect and carry sound simultaneously would be a great challenge. There are some threads about dual audio that may help.

You could try a blue-tooth to audio receiver and connect two pair of regular headphones, but you also might need an headphone amplifier as it may not have to power to drive two headphones. Or you could buy one of those little portable blue-tooth stereo speakers and modify it to accept a pair of headphones.

More traditional RF or IR wireless headphones may be the most practical approach.

Do you mean one audio device at a time? Most BT adapters will allow multiple devices, like keyboards, mice, headset, all at the same time. I've never seen more than one audio device at a time, though.

Bluetooth 5 supports 2 audio devices at same time.
Is it possible to get audio in Kodi via Bluetooth 5 to 2 headphones?

You know that you are reacting to a 6.5 yr old thread, right?
Kodi is an application first, the OS will need to support BT in the first place IMO.
Which OS are you referring to?

I release this is very old thread, just wanted to reuse to see if this is possible.

I'm using coreelec so OS would be linux.
