Long delay on XBMC start "loading recordings from clients" - nickr - 2014-03-04
This seems to have only started in the last few days.
Frontend: Frodo 12.2 on mythbuntu 12.04 LTS with cmyth pvr 1.6.11, Acer Revo.
Backend: mythbuntu 12.04 with myth 0.27
Connection: wired
When I start XBMC it hangs for about 10 minutes, the clock on the GUI does not update, the Home movie/tv icons do not come up, keyboard/remote unresponsive and nothing is logged. Neither the frontend nor the backend seem to have capacity problems (according to top, yes I can still ssh in) and the frontend shows a notification "PVR starting up, Loading recordings from client".
After nearly 10 minutes the notification goes away and everything operates normally.
