Crashes Repeatedly when playing PVR - Timmons - 2014-05-11 Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help troubleshoot a bug I've run into when I play the pvr streams. It's crashing every time, sometimes it plays longer sometimes it will crash right away. I have the following from my log and have no clue how to fix this. XBMC becomes completely unresponsive each time. thanks in advance. Sorry. He's the pastebin URL. This is using version 13.1 beta on windows 8.1 http://pastebin.com/0VrpAsTY http://pastebin.com/19C7ZGs8 ServerWMClog I was watching channel 2.1 although it happens on any channel. I didn't hit any button or do anything just let it play for a minute RE: Crashes Repeatedly when playing PVR - scarecrow420 - 2014-05-11 Please refer to the sticky threads - we need a ServerWMC log on pastebin, a well as information about your setup eg what version of XBMC what it's running on etc RE: Crashes Repeatedly when playing PVR - Timmons - 2014-05-12 Hello scarecrow430. I've updated the original post to follow the sticky RE: Crashes Repeatedly when playing PVR - krustyreturns - 2014-05-12 We also need a link to the serverwmc log (see debug tab) after a crash. Use pastebin for it too. RE: Crashes Repeatedly when playing PVR - scarecrow420 - 2014-05-12 Hi, We need to see a log from our ServerWMC backend component. The XBMC frontend log you posted doesnt say much other than that there was no data in the file it was reading and also it had an error communicating with the backend (a DEBUG level log on XBMC might show more) but really we need the ServerWMC log to see what is going on in the tv tuners, remuxing etc, to see if we can spot any problems there. http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=179426 That link tells you where to find the ServerWMC log file. Also to make it easier to read your log, can you mention specific details of one of the problem insteances like the time it occured and what channel you were attempting to watch RE: Crashes Repeatedly when playing PVR - Timmons - 2014-05-14 Updated RE: Crashes Repeatedly when playing PVR - scarecrow420 - 2014-05-14 Everything on the backend looks OK to me. The XBMC log you posted is not in DEBUG mode so we cant see much. Could you make an XBMC debug log of the problem, as well as fresh ServerWMC log to match the same problem occurence, then re-upload both to pastebin? Need to see matching XBMC and ServerWMC logs for the same problem so I can cross check timestamps etc. and the XBMC log needs to be in DEBUG I noticed that you seem to have 2 clients - a local one running on the same PC "XH61V" as ServerWMC and also a non windows client on 192.168.1.118. Is this true? Do both clients have the same problem? What are the specs of the machines? particularly CPU and hard drive and how your network is setup (including the server PC, client PC and silicon dust network tuner) RE: Crashes Repeatedly when playing PVR - krustyreturns - 2014-05-14 in additon to scarecrow's questions (especially the one about whether this happens if xbmc is running on the win8 server). It looks like you have credentials turned on but you have not entered any values for the username and passwd. Is that right? I don't think this should cause a problem, but its also not the way it it supposed to run. What happens if you turn off credentials (see folders tab)? RE: Crashes Repeatedly when playing PVR - Timmons - 2014-05-15 I've updated the logs and turned off credentials. I have XH61V set up running mysql 5.5 with the other client pc using this to sync the media between installs. Updated log again. XH61V is running windows 8.1 while the other has a chrubuntu laptop, I haven't had it appear on this other install. XH61V is an i3-3220 with 8gbs of ram. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227747 is the hd i'm using. I have this networked on ASUS RT-AC66U with Firmware version 3.0.0.4.374.5517(latest). RE: Crashes Repeatedly when playing PVR - krustyreturns - 2014-05-16 I can't figure out why it is crashing from looking at the logs. If I understand you right, it crashes in win8.1 but not on the linux laptop, which is bizarre. Does it crash watch a recorded wtv? If it doesn't, what happens when you turn on 'remux all recordings' (debug tab)? I would consider doing a fresh xbmc install on the windows machine and look for 3rd party software that might be influencing it. Its not much, but I am out of ammo otherwise. |
