No sound on HD TV channels - andrewj720 - 2014-08-08
I'm using XBMC to connect to MythTV backened on Ubuntu 14.04 as frontend/backend.
When viewing SD live TV channels via XBMC there is sound.
When viewing HD live TV channels via XBMC there is no sound.
I beleive that Pulse Audio can cause such problems, and others have removed Pulse Audio to use just ALSA. I too have tried thi, but the problem remains.
I have also tried passthrough, and using various methods.
I connect directly from my NVidia GTX 650 graphics card to TV, with an HDMI cable.
Any ideas on how to resove this?

I have fixed this by going to cmyth addon advanced settings and disabling the demuxing option.
I now have sound on all channels including HD
