Display mixed jpg and mpg files on a TV - FloridaTom - 2014-12-20

I've got a USB drive of about 1000 jpg pictures which I'm currently displaying on an HD TV connected to a "WD TV" box. It randomizes the order of display and lets me set a default display time (I use 5 seconds). I'd like to start adding mpg files of short video clips (minus the sound) to my data base of pictures. The WD TV won't allow me to do this; I can watch slides or I can watch video but I can't have my video files intermixed with the jpg files.

Is a KODI dedicated box likely to give me this functionality?
