iOS app doesn't connect - rjp3586 - 2015-01-20
The XBMC remote finds Kodi 14 Helix but doesn't connect. It just sits there with the circle spinning. It worked fine before I upgraded from Gotham. I have turned off then back on the AirPlay and the Webserver options. IP is correct and port is correct. I added a username and password that didn't help so I deleted both. I added the MAC address that didn't help. I deleted iOS app and reinstalled that didn't help. As far as the iOS app gets is finding Kodi and trying to connect with no success.

check your operating system firewall rules, it seems to be a firewall issue

Yes that was it thanks for the help. I can't believe I didn't think of that, the excuse I'm going to use is the kids derailed my train of thought LOL.
