Live-TV Sleep Timer - peterman1002 - 2015-02-17
Hi,
Is there a sleep timer option for live-tv? When I fall asleep to the TV on, I set the sleep timer on the TV itself. However, I want to set one in kodi because there is no reason for live-tv to continue playing and recording to the HDD when the TV is off. I looked, but couldn't find one.
I'm running the latest OpenElec version on the PI.

Does anybody find a sleep timer option here useful? Isn't it unnecessary wear on your HDD to be writing live tv to disk when you aren't watching it?
I have seen the power savings options in Kodi itself. However, that seems to shut kodi down completely after a certain time instead of just stopping whatever you are watching.

I've read that some skins have a shutdown timer that can be used. However, maybe this is something that should be built into the Mythtv Add-on? Basically I just want to stop live-tv after a certain amount of time. Thoughts?
