HOW TO BLOCK EPG - gsfarr - 2015-02-23
HOW DO I BLOCK EPG LOADING EACH TIME I LOAD KODI AS THIS TAKES SOME TIME AND BLOCKS KODI.I HAVE TO WAIT FOR EPG TO FINISH BEFORE I USE KODI.
I USE SIMPLE IPTV CLIENT WITH MY M3U FILE.

you can cache it, perhaps that will help.
Although it may not update from the web as needed.

But I think there is no other way. As you can read in the dialog, the EPG is loaded from database each time, not from backend. If the guide is loaded from backend each time, check the update intervall in the LiveTV options for EPG. I've set my intervall to 1440 minutes and it is updated from the backend only one times a day.
