Black screen - any way to recover? - Areka - 2015-03-29 OpenElec Kodi on Raspberry Pi. I had been attempting to get Live TV to show as a choice in the Main Menu and a saw a setting that said boot into TV. I set that, rebooted and now all I get when Kodi starts is a black screen with a mouse cursor. I can tell that Kodi is running by the sound cues, but how do I recover from this? I feel like I have just thrown away several days of work trying to get this fool thing to work as a PVR. And why is it even possible to configure it to a black screen? RE: Black screen - any way to recover? - nickr - 2015-03-29 SSH in and rename guisettings.XML from /storage/.kodi/userdata. Then reboot. RE: Black screen - any way to recover? - negge - 2015-07-20 Can you get a debug log (wiki)? It shouldn't get stuck on a black screen, it should either go to the TV section or it should go to the home screen in case the backend couldn't be reached etc. |
