Kore contains proprietary parts - Chris56 - 2015-03-30

Kore cannot be installed through the open source F-Droid alternative to google: https://f-droid.org .
For details see:
https://f-droid.org/wiki/page/org.xbmc.kore

Maybe the maintainers of Kore should also create a pure open source version, such that one can use f-droid.

Regards,
Chris

What do you mean by "can't be installed"? It has been available on F-Droid almost since it was released.

Anyway, F-Droid first listed the initial version of Kore, when it wasn't the Official remote, and included an in-app purchase for a donation (which didn't work on F-Droid's version, but everything else was operational). When Kore become the Official remote, the in-app purchase was dropped, and F-Droid's version is equal to the Play store.
