Pvr.mythtv not working on a windows machine - SteveV - 2015-06-07 Hi, I have a mythtv backend verion 0.27. I have Kodi running on a Ubuntu PC and pvr.mythtv works very well on that machine. On a Windows 7 PC I can't get pvr.mythtv to work, it hangs with the display loading recordings (or something similar) The end of the log is ERROR: PVR - ADDON::CAddonCallbacksPVR:VRTransferTimerEntry - stopping So I guess it can't find the channels. If I put XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:6544 I get the mythtv status page so the PC can access the Mythtvbackend I would appreciate any suggestions RE: Pvr.mythtv not working on a windows machine - MikeB2013 - 2015-06-07 The snippets of the log file do not help, they just indicate something went wrong earlier. Going to need a full debug log, but please do not post contents on the forum -see. http://kodi.wiki/view/Log_file/Advanced Also please make sure that in pvr.mythtv Advanced tab the "Include more debug information in the log file" is selected. I would update. If you are using ubuntu use mythbuntu repos and upgrade to latest 0.27.4 - if you need a hand with that let me know. Also what version of the pvr.mythtv addon are you using? RE: Pvr.mythtv not working on a windows machine - SteveV - 2015-06-07 Nick, I am using ubuntu, I'll try updating, it has been a while since I had to change sources etc, but I should be able to figure it out. The pvr.mythtv version I am using is 1.12.20, I had to install it from zip, the version that comes with Kodi is 1.11.??. On my ubuntu box (separate to my backend ubuntu box) where pvr.mythtv works fine, the version is 1.12.6. RE: Pvr.mythtv not working on a windows machine - SteveV - 2015-06-09 Hmm I added repositories for mythbuntu did an apt-get update and an apt-get install mythtv. now if I apt-get cache policy mythtv it reports installed 0.27.4 +fixes etc if I mythbackend -- version it reports version 0.27-193-g8ee257c and Library API 02.7.20140323-1 So i'm not sure what I have installed. RE: Pvr.mythtv not working on a windows machine - MikeB2013 - 2015-06-09 You are still on an old version of mythtv from March 23 2014 Latest 0.27 fixes backend should show MythTV Version : v0.27.4-69-gb7afc9b MythTV Branch : fixes/0.27 Network Protocol : 77 Library API : 0.27.20141016-1 Try sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get dist-upgrade You might also reboot after this, should not really be necessary, but I have seen too many times reports of all working after a reboot. So cleanup kodi profile (deleting folder ?) To start with clean base. Edit: also you could try it with an other windows account never running kodi before. RE: Pvr.mythtv not working on a windows machine - SteveV - 2015-06-14 Mike - thanks I did the sudo apt-get dist-upgrade and I now have version 0.27.4 janbar - I checked permissions on the database folder it had allow for everything. I tried a different windows account on the same machine, The outcome was the same. Still not working.
