VU+ PVR Plugin - Tweaking the Streaming mechanism - realjobe - 2015-07-01

Hi there.

I have been using VU+ Enigma2 PVR plugin for Kodi for a long time, and It works like a charm. Thank you for this truly!

So, Enigma2's default streaming port is 8001 and the streaming call is e.g. http://root:pass@VU_IP:8001/<channelRef>.
This means that Enigma2 device will give .ts stream just like that.

I'd like to know, is it possible to alter the code to actually start the stream pulling one other way..
I have VLC VLM module ready to trans-code needed channel into h264 .ts wrapping...
So, instead of calling VU for stream, I'd like to call VLC VLM with 5 HTTP GET calls ..

Where is the PVR source code. Is this also done in python? There is win32 .dll, is the implementations all in there?
