XBMC reboot upon arena entry in kai - d-x-biat - 2006-12-07
anyone else have this happen?
im running XBMC 2.0.1
im using mc360 as my skin
when i log onto xlink kai from mc360 and launch any game from the xbox kai gui, the system reloads XBMC.
xlink kai works just fine if i use my pc gui and, the games launch fine using 2.0.1 .
this problem did not show up upon install. it took a few sessions online before this happened.
i have a friend that called me today with a similar setup to mine with the same problem,
a complete reboot of XBMC upon joining an arena and selecting the play button on the xbox kai gui.
games play fine when launched from the shortcuts in mc360.
the strange part is it worked intially.maybe 5 sessions and then.....

yeah the Xlink Kai front-end seems to be a bit of a work-in-progress. AFAIK none of the devs are super-focused on that right now since they've got other more pressing things on the agenda. The Kai GUI is fairly consistent in its inconsistencies so I have learned to live with it. After all, it's only a few more clicks to launch the game once you've joined an Arena

i reinstalled 2.0.1 fresh and the problem was gone, until about 4 hours in last night.
i took a break, logged off, logged back on through the xbox kai gui, and .....

a fresh install doesnt seem to have the problem in it.
the problem develops after being on kai
is there any way to log what is taking place for analysys?
maybe it is a simple fix?
