Small Skip Steps - Kodependent - 2015-09-08

I have the default skip steps set in for Kodi 15.1, with 10sec being the shortest and 30, the next, etc. Using the Kodi Remote, one press of the forward seek button advances not 10sec but 30 no matter what. Multiple taps work as intended but I can't get it to work with the 10sec skip. Pretty frustrating when I just want to jump ahead or back just a bit.

I'm hoping someone might have any kind of insight as to why this might be happening. I don't know what other information I might provide that would be helpful. I'm running a pretty stock version on my MSI GT70/Win10 laptop which outputs to my HDTV via HDMI. All content is played back via my NAS over ethernet.

Thanks.

RE: Small Skip Steps - Kodependent - 2015-09-10

Just had to follow up because I found something interesting. I also have an Android Galaxy Note 3 that I don't use much since I got my iPhone 6 Plus, but it still works fine. I decided to load Yatse on it to see if it worked any differently/better than Kodi Remote does on iOS. Well lo and behold, the skip steps work way better for me on that phone.

One thing I clearly noticed different was that when using skip steps on that remote, it actually indicated the steps in the video overlay at the top, like it normally does for the 2x/4x/8x/etc. seeking. I had used the advancedsettings.xml file to change my default skip steps to 7,15,30,etc. and it was working and indicating as intended, but only with that remote on that phone.

When using the Kodi Remote app or even another remote app on iOS like Unified Remote, for example, with its own Kodi remote, the skip steps did not indicate at the top of the screen and again, only went ahead 30sec.

Very strange behavior.

Not to rain on Kodi Remote, but after seeing and using Yatse on Android, I can't go back unless this either gets fixed(and I don't know if it is an app problem or something on my end) and/or other features get added. The other major thing that sold me was the inclusion of voice activation in Yatse. Playing around with this for a minute and I saw how much more powerful of an app it is.

Why is there no iOS remote app up to this task? Is it an Apple thing that won't let you access voice activation or some API or something?
