No Kodi instances were found :( - Grahf - 2015-09-26 I've read like 5 different forums involving people with the same issue I'm having. Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. If I go into Safari and type i http://<username>:<password>@10.0.0.111:80 it connects and brings up the remote control and works with controlling kodi on my laptop. Why wont the app work though? Something I don't understand is why there is a 8080/9090 port. I'm only typing a 80 in Safari so why the 8080 and 9090 in the remote control app? My IP address, MAC address, username, and password, are all correct in the app. RE: No Kodi instances were found :( - gfoldv - 2015-09-26 If your Kodi instance is listening on port 80 then why don't you set the port to 80 in the remote as well? RE: No Kodi instances were found :( - Grahf - 2015-09-26 Which box? I set them both to 80 and it still doesn't work. RE: No Kodi instances were found :( - gfoldv - 2015-09-26 The leftmost. Which originally says 8080. If that doesn't work then as always being said: Turn off the firewall (completely), remove the username/password in the Kodi settings and try again. RE: No Kodi instances were found :( - Grahf - 2015-09-27 Still get the same message I have it set to 10.0.0.111: 80 / <blank> RE: No Kodi instances were found :( - Grahf - 2015-09-27 Turned windows firewall off. Removed username and password in kodi and the kodi control app. Same message RE: No Kodi instances were found :( - rschiks - 2015-09-27 Please post some screen shots of your Kodi settings 1. system - settings - services - webserver 2. system - settings - services - remote control And a screen shot of the settings in your app. Maybe we can see what's wrong. RE: No Kodi instances were found :( - Grahf - 2015-09-27 Kodi webserver and remotecontrol settings https://goo.gl/photos/aKR256RyF12BJGWRA https://goo.gl/photos/8NBnvfUpQFRwA2Wh6 RE: No Kodi instances were found :( - Grahf - 2015-09-27 Settings in my iPhone app. https://goo.gl/photos/otx6CWBWhydtmcTQA RE: No Kodi instances were found :( - rschiks - 2015-09-27 Ok, then try the following: set the port in Kodi to 8080 set the username in Kodi to kodi set the password in Kodi to kodi In the app clear the settings. really empty the settings (maybe there's a space in the ip address) and fill in the settings as mentioned above. Do you have multiple NICs in your Kodi box? Is there only one ip address. In Kodi go to system -> system info...what's the ip address mentioned? RE: No Kodi instances were found :( - Grahf - 2015-09-27 The IP is 10.0.0.111. Still not working. I'm moving tomorrow and I'll be using a different router there. Maybe that will help. RE: No Kodi instances were found :( - Grahf - 2015-09-27 Maybe this is related, maybe it isn't, but I can't use airplay on Kodi either. It wont show up on my iPhone even though I have it enabled in Kodi. RE: No Kodi instances were found :( - Grahf - 2015-10-02 Switched networks. Changed my IP in Kodi Remote app to the new IP of my computer and still not working. RE: No Kodi instances were found :( - Grahf - 2015-10-02 WOW. Instead of clicking Find Kodi I just tried to use the app and it works. Maybe it always worked. LOL. Good job guys. |
