XLink KAI - router / ip issues with XBMC - Tryptik - 2007-02-07

Ok, I have been searching for quite some time on how exactly to get the Xlink Kai working with my XBMC.

I can play the games using the XLink Kai Engine through my computer, but for some reason I cannot use the XLink Kai APP through XBMC to connect up.

I have tested playing one of the games online through the engine on my computer and it works great.

I will list off some of the settings I have, maybe someone can tell me what I am doing wrong..

I have the D-Link DI-604 router.

Computer Settings :
IP Address - 192.168.0.2
Subnet mask - 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway - 192.168.0.1

DNS Server Address - 192.168.0.1

Router Settings:

LAN:
IP Address - 192.168.0.1
Subnet mask - 255.255.255.0

Xlink is Ported through 30000 using UDP protocal on IP 192.168.0.2

XBMC Settings:

Network:
Assignment - Static
IP Address - 192.168.0.3
Netmask - 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway - 192.168.0.1
DNS Server - 192.168.0.1

Xlink Kai:
Engine IP Address: 192.168.0.2

Has anyone come across this yet..?
And i tried this quite a few times to make sure this was no quirk..

Through XBMC I went to Settings -> Programs -> Xlink Kai....
From there I Disabled Xlink Kai, than enabled it again.. And it works...??#()&^!@

wtf is that? hours and hours and hours trying to figure it out..

Seems that everytime I restart or start my XBOX (Not the XBMC Dashboard), If I want to hit up Xlink Kai, that I have to do that 1st..

I have mine setup ported UDP, and TCP. Maybe that will help make sure you have the port open in your router
